Sledding!!!!

We were so excited to be able to take a 2hr trip up to the snow for a couple of days after Christmas! All thanks to my Nanny (grandma)!! She has timeshare and we are able to use it (that is how we've gone to San Diego/Palm Springs/etc) all for FREE!!! Isn't that great! The best part about it is, its just like being at home.... Meaning, the places we stay in have full kitchens, its like staying in an apartment, so we just buy our groceries and we don't have to spend extra money on going out to eat! So just as long as we have to gas to get where we are going then we are good! She lets us use it every year, we are so thankful for that b/c if we didn't have that to use then we wouldn't really go on vacations. Because one of the most expensive parts of a vacation is the stay/food/gas... well since the stay is free, and we don't have to go out to eat b/c we are buying groceries just like at home, we just have to worry about the gas, LOVE IT! Anyway, here are some pics from our time in Sedona/Flagstaff, AZ.

LOVE the big bathtubs! So many memories as a child going to the resorts with my family doing this very same thing!

They got their own room, and bed...even though they ended up sharing one bed, haha!

Pondering something, lol

At the snow in Flagstaff!!!

I LOVE this picture, look at Diego's face! He is so excited for the kids, love it!

This pic is priceless as well, look how happy and excited they are!

I love this!

Awww!

The red rocks outside our place :)

Santa Came to our House!

I love how simple kids can be, and I am going to love every minute of the simplicity of my children. This year for Christmas Brooklyn asked for a fish, and Alex asked for a Spiderman Bike, so simple and to the point! The day that they start asking for $200 skateboards, or $100 pair of jeans I am going to look back on the years when they asked for things like this, LOL!

So after waiting a couple of days after Christmas Brooklyn finally was able to get her fish this evening!! All she asked from Santa was a fish tank w/fish :) Well Santa brought her a small fish tank with a gift card for some fish and accessories :)
Little Alex got a bike from Santa, he had been asking for this "Spiderman Bike" for months!

Christmas Cookies for Santa!

The kids and I made some Christmas cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve.... they did such a cute job! I love these memories that I have my little ones.

School, Sleep, School, Sleep.....

.....I can't wait until I am done with school! It has been really hard to stay focused this semester with being newly preggers. I have been so tired! My usual routine was staying up super late doing my homework once everyone was in bed....now, that isn't happening. I am so tired I am going to bed by 9pm! That is just an hour after the kids are put to bed, and during that hour I am winding down, picking up the house, getting things ready for the next day, and catching up on some homework. But I am lucky if I make it until 9pm! Sometimes its 8:30pm when I am hitting the pillow. Oh well, just a few more weeks in this semester and trimester! Bring it on 2nd trimester! That one is usually the best for me! :)

Christmas

Well, all the Christmas cards have been sent, presents are all bought! We just need to mail out little Justin's gifts, and finish wrapping! Brooklyn is going to OK with her dad today, I am going to miss her super duper much! But she will be back on Tuesday :)

Anyway, I hope everyone has a blessed holiday, and don't forget what we are truly celebrating. It isn't about the gifts, or Christmas trees, but about the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. I love reminding my little ones what Christmas is all about, I love telling the the true Christmas story on Christmas.

Mathew 1:20-21 says But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

Flavorful Tuesday

... will be postponed until I start feeling better :)

So far pregnancy number 3 is WAY different that the other 2!! I NEVER had morning sickness or anything with the first two, maybe once or twice but never for weeks straight. So far this one....well lets just say I am learning what "morning sickness" means... The good thing is I am not gaining weight, in fact I have lost weight....weird right? Well anyway.... that is that :)

8 wks and how we found out!

I am 8 wks today! Our little bean is about the size of a kidney bean! We are so excited and so are the kids! We are so blessed with the children we have and so happy that God has blessed us with this one!!

How we found out:
We started trying in September, and no luck. I was a little sad b/c I really wanted a June baby.... Diego was a little excited b/c he wanted an August baby! Well obviously we are not in control, God is :) So the day before Halloween I started cramping and I was thinking "Darn, no baby" well, then on Halloween I started to feel a little queasy! Sunday the same, and it was still about 4-5 days before we were to find out... Well on my way to pick up Brooklyn from a play date with her friend that she had after church that day I ate a piece of candy and it about came right back up! So I said to my self "That is IT!" so I got a pregnancy test and TA DA!!!! I wasn't even 4 wks! My mom says that this is going to be the longest pregnancy on earth lol, well with Brooklyn and Alex I found out just as soon :) It is exciting b/c it is our last baby, we wanted to wait so that Alex would be 4 just like Brooklyn was when Alex was born, it worked out really well so we are hoping for the same this time around. It is perfect timing b/c by the time this one is Alex's age I will be done with school and the baby will be at an age where it can go to preschool and I will be teaching :)

We can't wait to find out what we are having!! We are both hoping for a little girl :) But Diego seems to have that Boy gene in him!! So hopefully after putting out 3 boys, this one could be a girl?!?!? We will ultimately be happy with whatever God give us, we just pray for a healthy baby :)
