16wks!!!

I am so excited! I am 2wks away from finding out what we are having!!! I was going to wait until 20+ weeks to find out but my Dr told me I could find out at 18… so we shall see! I will keep you posted on the gender of the baby :)

Other than that the pregnancy is going well, other than I am still feeling a little icky… so weird b/c I have never been the one to be sick during my pregnancies! I LOVED being pregnant, LOVED it!!! I am so sad that this is my last, but then again….I don’t ever want to go through this kind of pregnancy that I have had so far, wow its brutal!

Weight Gain-
Has been wonderful! I was really concerned going into this pregnancy b/c I really wanted to try and lose quite a few lbs before getting pregnant again, but it didn’t happen… Which led me to my next concern, gaining too much during the pregnancy. WELL!!!! I have only gained…..3lbs!!!!!!! Isn’t that great! With Brooklyn & Alex I had gained at least 10-15lbs at this point, but I have been eating healthy this time around instead of using my pregnancy as an excuse to EAT! LOL!!! Anyway, next update will be when we find out, yay!! So excited!

Alex has found a new love….

Yes he loves to play and build with his blocks!! I know what he is getting more of for his birthday :) The funny thing is, my mom bought these blocks for him, I wanna say 2 yrs ago? But it is so cute to see him playing with them! He gets soooo proud of his little “houses” he builds :) Here is a pic of my little man and his creation.

Here are some pics....

Here is the park right down from our house, they use the parks for drainage...as you can see

Our backyard...this is where we are putting our grass, but it is looking more like a pool!! LOL

Look the wind blew over our tree! Poor tree :*(

American Idol.....

....IS BACK!!!! YES!!!! Diego and I love, love, love this show! It started off great last night, but it was a little difficult concentrating on my homework, LOL! So I made sure during every commercial break I did my homework, it worked pretty well! Watched my show, and got my homework done! Great night :)

Flavorful Tuesday!

I am going to do one of these a month, instead of every week, sound good? Great!

Here is a recipe that is new to my family, it was super good and I recommend it to anyone! It is easy, AND a crockpot meal! LOVE those, do you? Another great thing about this recipe is that is makes enough that you can have it the next day for left overs OR you can freeze it for the next week. Isn't that great! So it is like 2 meals in one! Okay here it is....enjoy!

Taco Soup

1lb ground Beef (browned & drained)
1 medium onion chopped (I chopped my huge, so I can pick it out!)
2 (15oz) cans kidney beans
2 (15oz) cans pinto beans
2 (150z) cans corn (I get the sodium free)
1 (28oz) can diced tomatoes
1 (14oz) can Rotel
1 packet Taco Seasoning
1 packet Ranch Dressing
-Sour Cream and shredded cheddar cheese for garnish-

Brown the meat and onion in skillet then drain.... Then add the rest of the ingredients your crockpot (everything in the cans juices and all) and cook on low for 8 hours or longer :)

Here is a pic from my crockpot when I made the soup, it was also a HIT with the kids!

One more thing...

....about the blog below that I really like is..... She's a "Meal Planner" like myself. What does that mean? Well I sit down each week and plan out 7 days worth of dinner. I like to start on Wednesday's b/c that is when the grocery store ads change, and I can match it with my coupons and SAVE $$$!! When chicken is cheap I buy a TON of it, like yesterday the people at the grocery store probably thought I was nuts! Chicken breast were on sale for $1.57lb (normal around $3lb) so I bought 6, that is right 6 platters of bnls sknls chicken breast! I stock it up in my freezer for dinner. I separate them out, 4 breast per bag, and sometimes I will put a marinade in the bag... then freeze them! Then when we are having chicken WA la! There it is! I do the same thing with ground beef/steaks/ribs/etc.

Planning out your meals not only helps with organization, but it also saves money. If you go to the store with exactly what you are needing ONE time for your dinner you avoid spending extra money. For example, say its Thursday and you don't have anything too cook, well you go to the grocery store to get that nights dinner and come back with a million other things, right? So just plan on going one time, that way you don't get caught up in all the junk there!

Here is an example (I created it in Word very simple) of my Meals for this week that I do, I print this out (most of the time I print it) and put it where the family can see.....

Well anyway, just thought I would share a helpful hint that helps me out as a mom/wife :) I went grocery shopping this morning, and I already have my meat marinating for this weeks Fajitas, and our Steak dinner ;) Makes life a lot easier to prepare!

Found a New Blog!

So I found this GREAT new blog! I am so excited b/c anywhere I find new recipes to try I am GAME! I love finding new things that my family likes to, and I hate getting stuck in a rut of cooking the same things over and over again. I love to be able make it different every week. Lately I have been in a RUT! I am pregnant, so nothing has really sounded good.. so I have had a hard time cooking and coming up with new meals for the family. We have been having a LOT of chicken... which we usually eat chicken 4-5 out of the 7 nights of the week b/c it is much healthier than meat/beef. But lately I just haven't been to wide on my horizons of cooking b/c like I said.. I am preggers. For some reason this has affected my cooking! I am always asking Diego what he wants me to cook, or telling him "Pick up something for me to cook, b/c I can't decide" well I can't decide b/c if it were up to me.. I would have A. PB&J or B. Bread for dinner, I just don't have an appetite, so frustrating!

ANYWAY.. here is the website check it out, I think its great!
