Boxes...Boxes...Boxes....

That's right! We are moving once again! But thankfully this time, it is a place we will be for a long time, hopefully 5+ years :) With the way the economy has been going it has been a struggle to keep up, I am so thankful that we had this opportunity to move. Sooooooo there are boxes EVERYWHERE! UGH! I think packing is the worse thing in the world, but then again it could be the best thing in the world..why? Because it is a time where you can get rid some things that you might not need anymore :)

So again, I will be busy packing, packing and packing today and tomorrow! I don't know what we are going to do with the extra 806 square ft that we are getting! WOW! The upstairs will fill in just fine, because years ago we didn't get rid of the extra queen bed we had from when Diego and I got married. Ever since Alex was born we didn't have an extra room to put it in so it has been sitting in the garage, taking up a lot of room! But now we have a 4th bedroom to put it in, YAY! That will be all that is in that room, but hey, it works right?!? The downstairs on the other hand, well, it is going to be empty, LOL!! With having the formal living and dining room we don't have the extra furniture to fill it up, and we sure don't have the extra $$ laying around to go and buy stuff to put in there! So it will be empty and I am sure for quite a while :) I am excited that I get to paint! I am using my birthday money from all of my family to buy paint. I will have enough for the downstairs only, which if okay because really that is all people are going to see when they are in my home :) So for Christmas guess what I will be asking for.....$$ again to finish the upstairs!!
Well I better get back to packing!! Have a great day!!

Little Ms. Hollywood

..Brooklyn on the other hand is doing wonderful in school! I am so proud of her! She made a 100% on her very first spelling test!!! Whoo Hooo!! She just loves, loves, loves school :) I am really happy with the school we chose for her because they are really big in Math and Reading.....as a first grader they are expecting her to read at least 30 minutes a day, I don't remember having to do that ha-ha! She is going to be starting soccer soon, we are on a waiting list because it filled up so fast! But she is really excited....she is a very active little girl....Ms. Hollywood/Sporty Spice LOL!

Urgent Care

So we had to take little Alex to urgent care this evening :*( His fingers are still really, really swollen and are still really hurting him... he doesn't want to use that hand really for anything... You can't really tell in the picture below very much but in person it looks yucky! Also, he has a high temp and we thought that might be associated with his fingers. So I called the RN at his Pediatric office and she told me that I should take him into urgent care. Well we got there, they did some tests, and X-Ray's and everything turned out to be just fine!! They just told us to keep an eye on his fever, because as of right now he doesn't have anything...but it could possibly develop into something. Also to keep a look out on his little fingers over the next couple of days......all evening he has been in my lap, just laying there....now my baby boy is in his bed not feeling well at all, I can't stand it when my kiddo's are sick....I feel so helpless.

"Sissy...owe"

In my home we have a problem..... little Alex LOVES to go into his sissy's room, b/c there are so many more interesting things in her room than in his ;) When he gets into her room, he is like a little tornado! Grabbing as many things as he can to get what he can in the short time that he is in there before mommy comes in to get him, LOL!!

Before we didn't have a problem, all we had to do was shut the door, and it was fine. Well, about 2 or so months ago Alex has learned how to open doors! AHHH!! This means that everything that I kept behind doors to keep him out of, he can now get into! This also means, Brooklyn's room..... well I started having her lock her door, or I would put a baby gate in front of the door when they were in there playing so that he couldn't get in the room....last Friday her door wasn't locked, and there wasn't a gate up.......

.....and as you can see, little Alex got his fingers shut in the door. This happened on Friday, the girls were playing and he tried opening her door and she said "Alex, No!"....*SLAM*...if Antonio's (diegos dad) foot had not been in the way, these little fingers would have looked a LOT worse! Poor little guy! After he cried himself to sleep, and Brooklyn cried her eyes out b/c she felt so, incredibly bad...he woke up saying "Mommy, Sissy, Owe.." over and over! So we had a talk with Brooklyn that if he tries to come into her room, that she just needs to come and get me, because this could have been so much worse. Needless to say, we all learned a lesson :)

Vacations....they are needed!

So, I know I put a pic up in my photography blog...but I wanted to put some up here as well. Seriously if it wasn't for my Nanny (no not a child nanny, but my grandma, I call her Nanny) we wouldn't have the opportunity to be able to go to these nice and wonderful places! I know I have already said it, but thank you Nanny very much! Here are just a few from the vacation, keep in mind I believe I took like 200 pictures!

This is our beautiful resort we stayed at...but Diego and I both agreed that this would be an amazing place for us to go back to for some "alone" time :)

Diego and the kids at La Jolla Beach, CA...it was amazing! They had harbor seals in the swim areas just hanging out!

The kids and I at SeaWorld, waiting for a show to start..I was laughing so hard, b/c they wouldn't look at the same time!

We almost forgot to take a pic in front of the "SeaWorld" sign! LOL!! Alex is fast asleep!!

A pic of the La Jolla Beach, unbelievable!

Our Family Blog!

Well here it is our first family blog! I am sure I (angela) will be the one "blogging" most of the time, but we wanted to put something together for our friends and family to be able to look at while so far away :(

Oh, and after Diego and I thinking long and hard, between different "Blog Titles" we came up with "giggles n' gum drops"....why? Well, it was the cutest thing we came up with, and it was fun, light, and really...in our little family we have lots of giggles!

**I just think it is cute that Diego was helping me with the names ;p gotta love a man who helps you name your family blog, right?
