So, since we don't have the extra $$ for Alex to go to preschool a couple of times a week, I have decided that I am just going to have preschool at our house! I am going to make part of our guest room, his school area, and I am wanting to prepare him for Pre-K next year. Because next year he will go to a real preschool to get prepared for Kindergarten.
I am really excited though, I have made his lesson plans out, and we went today to get his school box!! We have crayons, scissors, and glue! I bought poster board to make an Alphabet, Number and Shape Board. Then I have bought a big school Calender to go on the wall for each month, with letters to put up. I am waiting for some books to come in that i have ordered for his curriculum, so as soon as they get in, its go time!

Mardi Gras!!!

Wisdom.....ouch!
So, August was an interesting month I would have to say! So in a nutshell, I haven't been able to chew food in 2wks... what have I been eating? Umm, yogurt, mashed potatoes, slim fast, shakes, etc.. Oh man, I am so tired of these foods!! Why am I only able to eat this you ask... I'll tell ya!
So, on Sunday the 9th in CA I woke up feeling horrible. I had a headache, swollen lymph nodes, and I thought to myself.. "Great, I have another sinus infection!" well, I went to the Dr on Monday morning and they thought I had strep. Well they gave me some antibiotics, and a couple of days later my symptoms got worse. I got these sores inside my mouth, on my cheeks, tongue inside my lips etc. My gums were swollen, and I couldn't eat! It was awful! So, I went back to the Dr. and they thought I had herpes, so they ran a test...and NOPE, don't have herpes. SO they were like "oh, I am sorry we don't know what is wrong". Well at that point the sores were starting to go away, but then my gums around my bottom wisdom teeth got really swollen and tender! SO I went to urgent care, and they gave me some mouth wash that would numb everything and it made it feel better. The Dr. said that I had all of those symptoms probably due to stress..? Who knows. I never thought stress could cause a fever, swollen lymph nodes and etc. Whatever. But he also said I should follow up with the dentist. So I did. Wednesday I went to the dentist and they said my wisdom teeth needed to be taken out ASAP! All 4 of them!!! So I told them that there was no way that I would be able to have them taken out by the dentist, awake..hearing everything! OH man! I would have had a heart attack! So they referred me to an oral Surgeon. I went for my consultation on Thursday morning, then that afternoon at 4pm, I was back to have them out! They put me to sleep, and I woke up with 4 teeth removed!
So far the pain hasn't been that bad, it is a lot better than I thought. But the infection that was in my gums from my wisdom teeth being impacted, now that is what is hurting me. I am still not eating normal food, still on shakes/yogurt/mashed potatoes/etc. I told Diego that when I can eat normally, he is taking me out for FOOD!!!! Happy 30th Birthday Baby!!!!
Here are some pics from my hubby's 30th birthday party :) We had so much fun! We had 4 couples over, and with them came about 10 children! It was great, we loved having everyone over to celebrate my wonderful hubby's 30th!!
